um that is one way of describing what I do yes don't lie to him he has an intro is an introduction we only have room to grow and that's what we're doing is growing right um last time you guys were kneed deep in this swamp taking out crocodiles uh or alligators I hadn't decided on which one I'm going to go with alligators I forget the actual wait a minute did you not have stat blocks for them no I did I was just thinking what's the actual distinction between the two again uh it's nose it's have more angular nose algary is more rounded and crocodiles can get a lot bigger that's right I prefer crocodiles I'm just going to say it sorry alligators those alligators listening do crocodiles do the death roll or is that an alligator thing it's it's a it's it's a family trait it's Universal everybody's doing it everybody's doing it Croc can spin in water it will spin in water um all right you guys were kneed deep in the water getting death rolled over here was Cel Sila was diving in and out of the waters taking out everybody uh emis almost lost Dawn's Edge uh in a heat metal spell and trying to Traverse the TR Turan um a lizard Shaman who was attempting to kind of uh take you all out in was previously in search of the goblin child that you had all found when you first teleported in uh immediately came in got pretty well wrecked and tried to flee by wild shaping into a Croc Sila just doing her due diligence of taking everything out left and right uh managed to wound them so much they came out of wild shape promptly finish them off with a good old bite to the neck um and you had uh vasana and Artemis had discovered that another um lizard folk had started running off to the Northeast uh with a little bit of pursuit until we had Cel finally pop back up after taking out that Croc and we stayed an initiative because when uh I believe it was Silo was in the water noticed something larger was coming their way and so you all kind of start to uh prop yourselves up get into defensive positions you summoned an Earth element uh Elemental Sam and as you were attempting to help sael across the waters you all noticed this huge dark shape in which Sila Peak down in and sees I was wrong about the heads you see five heads all leading to this huge monstrous body and it is a Hydra and it is aumon for you so we are um Sila it was your turn last time you had peaked underneath the water we had rolled in your Earth Elementals turn here it's technically their turn if you want to do anything with them otherwise we're back up to the top of our initiative tracker yeah I want them to move they can't swim but this water is only KNE deep right and they're um about 10 ft out from the shoreline It's relatively shallow anything into those darker colored Waters you're going from about 5T deep all the way down to 25 ft deep okay uh I can't control the token but I would like to move it sry about no good let's just have it be a generic give it some save there you go see if you can move it now perfect I want to move it in front of sealen Cilla okay so it starts marching forward splashes through the water Cuts in front of you both uh and takes up kind of a defensive position nice yeah and I think uh the action there is the Dodge action okay all right so it is uh anything attacking it has disadvantage if if I remember correctly yes yes yes yes all right we are back up at the top now with star caller Andrew you are muted oh yeah you're muted time stamp G to mark that down so down thought he was just a deep contemplation I did too I was like this is gonna get huge yeah like wow what a big turn I'm lurking in my my incredible position high above the battlefield and I think to myself when do I get to Smite and I think to myself again What a Wonderful World next turn next turn um and so I'm going to drop two eldris blasts um both at this hydr areia okay it's not above the water it is about at its low or at its highest point it's about 10t F feet below the surface of the water I'm not saying into it magic go through the water I think we determine to uh to will shagrin that it does um mhm it does it's got a large shadow um so this is what I'm going to have you do roll to hit okay that's not what I wanted to see it's a 13 for the first one okay that's a straight up miss all right do it again that's much better that's a 27 okay now roll me a D100 anything above 25 hits 25 holy[ __ ] is this a meets it beats it scenario he he said everything I'll be fair he said anything above H I did I did oh that's hope oh bummer all right well uh I can't say that this Hydra is going to be in the water forever you've used your action what else you got for us Bud let's see I think I am going to as delightful as my perch is I think that I need to get into ready position here so I'm going to climb down my little Treetop and I'm going to stand near um our new ranger friend um what's her name Andrew it's like Vanessa but not it's like you're you're not that far off you're not it always trips me off I know he just said in the intro but it's like vanesa no v v v so dyslexic Vanessa excellent yeah Flip Flip the flip the n and the S and you're there got yeah uh so I'm going to climb down um and I'm going to just like Stam I don't have any bonus action spells I think are are going to be useful for me right now um so I oh actually you know what no I I'm going to edit this down to make me seem smart take away his privileges IE class bonus action spiritual weapon um and I'm going to put that right I'm going to put it right by the Earth like right kind of in front of the earth Elemental I can't see exactly where the Hydra is but I know like this looks like where the point of contact is going to happen and I want my my thing to be around there okay uh all the elemental tokens yeah I'm giving you a fire Elemental here your beautiful all right I'm giving you control all right so basically right in front of Sila you want this yeah that's perfect all Air Benders are getting together earth water fire uh uh all right Earth and firebenders uh is that the rest of your is that the finality of your turn there that is um aremis just looks over at his Rangers companion and gives them a Curt and like solidary nod like we got this uh vasana looks at you and nods very quickly and um she was kind of down on one knee she had her crossbow in hand she can see that clear clearly something's about to happen she doesn't see the Hydra though so she just like drops the front end of her crossbow and like holds out her arms and very Airbender like um reaches out in the direction of zapel and like does this grab and Pull and seel you feel this air start to Billow around you now here's the question are you a willing creature uh yeah get me the [ __ ] out of this water please okay she's going to pull you 30 feet towards her 5 10 15 20 2530 getting you right there about 15 ft diagonally to the southwest of her so she rips you out of the water you can feel like this wind in leaves like push through and just Spirit you out um and as that happens she then yeah she that as her actions so I I'm just I'm always double-checking I'm learning my spell casters I can't cast a healing word on you correct because I used an action to do something else right well yeah you you can't cast two leveled spells per turn you can do like SP technically a spell it's an ability she has then okay all right just making sure uh is she is she multiclassed into four elements Monk no she is um tell she is a combination of stuff into a whole NPC other thing she is from the Fay wild she's got some f tricks very nice uh all right healing word as a bonus action first level she doesn't have too many spells so that is 1 D4 + 4 we'll take it uh nice that is seven points of healing to you thank you it's better than nothing uh then she quickly grabs her crossbow again and gets ready staying in her current spot now your lucky spell cuz it's your turn Okay uh I am going how far away can I get from this thing before it's problematic oh I can get so far away from this thing it makes me so happy uh I'm going to run to the southeast portion of this island where where are you going leaves don't look for me I am going away now I want that as a t-shirt just the silhouette of spel running and he's just don't look for me oh so he's going to run like a[ __ ] coward to the southeast part of the island and sort of like get himself uh crooked into this tree uh with with land facing him so he doesn't get pulled into the water again like he did last time um mhm and I'm going to yeah we're going to do another um M's minute meteors okay that spell and that staff why do I give you guys good items you love us It cast two spells let me have it um let me have it yeah okay that's my bonus action[ __ ] I was going to do a thing with Sila but I got yed away and I'm out of range so it's fine uh I me you could have done it before you ran yeah I know uh the range want to help you Sam the range was not on my side and I wasn't going to backtrack um so that's fine that's my turn okay all right might just might just cost Sam's life I mean jeez forget she's been on her character death before okay she she she's seasoned seasoned uh all right well it's the hydra's turn so here comes the Power the Hydra is going to move up and break the surface right here up against the line of the earth Elemental the spiritual weapon Sila and Vlad who is um this is a huge creature so Vlad is 5T above them okay well I got five heads do you guys know how many attacks that means five five all right that math is Ming that's first attack is going to be at Vlad uh one of these heads can just see him buzzing around in the air let's see oh that is out of the box uh oh crap that's a 24 to hit uh yep yeah that'll that'll hit that'll hit Y uh you take 12 points of piercing damage okay second head is going to go after Sila because it has 10 feet of reach uh natural two so that is a Miss uh third head is going to go after Sil again uh that's probably going to be another miss here yeah 16 doesn't hit you right correct correct correct uh fourth head is going after the Earth Elemental uh wow not rolling well with this die that's a four uh I'm doing so good Brendan walked away from the table he was like I don't he couldn't handle the pure Allure of the dice yep yeah what's he doing I think barricading his door against his cats this one's against Vlad and I just rolled a natural 20 you you could not though but I I am though you could roll something else uh okay okay so so we're maxing this out I always got to remember this well yeah so you so you roll once and then add the max yep that's very lucky I rolled minimum on the second one so that is 26 points of piercing damage okay oh wait no no no no no no no no no 16 sorry 16 16 different numbers yep my math ain't mathing at the moment all right that is its five attacks and just to be clear you didn't you didn't double any modifiers it has right no I didn't double all right I did not double all right it is vlad's turn now okay yeah he's 5T away from this Hydra yeah he's real [ __ ] up um doesn't get his breath back so he is going to oh my God he's a[ __ ] wormling the child it's a child what's worse than rapist a child no Christ such a good video us Millennials and our Vines um okay so I guess he's just going to make his single sad bite attack against grandpa I guess how much Munch uh the Hydra is that weird uncle that we were talking about that's the uncle you don't tell about the podcast yeah I mean oh GE G Willers does an 11 hit no guess I'll die you could have withdrawn you didn't have to send him to his death and then take attack of opportunity get [ __ ] called the disengage action my man yeah I always he forgot that was a thing no I always that is always a thing of confusion for me like I I always forget that it's not exclusively a rogue thing the Rogues just get to use it as a bonus action corre I like I never hear disengaged used other than Rogues so I I have made that false equivalency I'll tell you I'll tell you almost all the time the correct answer is damage right do you do you want I will allow you to rcon if you want I mean if you're allowing it [ __ ] yes like disengage okay disengage okay uh you didn't do any damage so I'm I'm just I'm just giving you the the option you you are a benevolent God uh but [ __ ][ __ ] you a little bit uh he's so he's going to disengage and he's going to what does he have he has a 60 foot fly speed that motherfucker's going straight up okay so he's now 85 ft in the air correct uh all right nice I I can't wait to see how Vlad does when either Sam or Andrew gets to play him see how different his actions are he'll probably play better if we're being honest uh I don't know it feels like um a brandan thing a Brenan a Brendan gets to carry this burden thing yeah I get to kill the small child and have that on my conscience I mean it's your son so yeah I mean Andrew's got the goblin child now okay so my boy we'll just see Andrew also has a familiar he forgets about every episode M did you forget about the child till I mentioned it just now too no the child is protected by several layers of warding Aquilla I forget exists on a daily basis which astounded me when you're like I'm G to get the fine familiar tattoo I was like okay sure and I was about to ask what innocent child is Sila taking care of and the answer sael came too quickly she's watching after the elderly well it's the uh the mama Guardian S turn indeed Sam so what do you want to do here Guardian uh I'm sorry it's Sila first not the elemental right yes uh yes it's you first then the elemental yeah I want to[Music] um bonus action rage it feels like the correct move she's going to R and then could I use my movement to climb up on top of the earth Elemental give me a an Athletics check Go 24 yeah Jesus no problem you climb up on top of that Earth hell yeah okay so Sila is going to surf the Earth Elemental and throw her Trident at one of the heads of the Hydra ra that's attached to her title chain okay um so attack Nat 20 holy [ __ ] let's go all right do I double the rage no you don't double modifiers just so roll your whatever the Trident hit die is take the maximum of that die and then add all the modifiers in sorry I the WR uh that is the max which is 11 plus six for 17 plus two raging 19 nice okay all right there's a lot of moments there I started almost putting bu putting pushing buttons and then I was like wait no no no there's more yeah I just had to math out loud all right yeah you strike it right in the side of one of its skulls uh and it shrieks in this horrible uh hissing trill uh and then you're yanking it are you yanking it back out uh I can't I use my bonus action to rage a beans um but I'd like to grab a hand axe and throw that with my second attack okay so like Trident hits one of the heads and then she reaches into her belt grabs a hand axe and lets that fly okay for a o only a 12 to hit that does not hit yeah um not so spicy that one that will be it all right uh it is the uh being surfed upon Earth Elementals turn Okay earthy is going to take their slam attacks okay uh roll oh that's only a 11 to hit uh it's a Miss they get two attacks though so here's hoping uh 19 to hit that's a hit okay td8 + 5 uh that's 17 bludgeoning damage nice nice uh okay you um you hit this head with the Trident and then your Earth Elemental like the axe goes digging uh or flying in there as well and then the Earth Elemental very like quickly comes in misses and then swings around and just manages to slap slam it in the side of the head so bad as it slaps down you can hear this horrible flesh ripping sound as one of the hydra's heads just rips right off yeah okay uh they're going to stay where they're at and I'll end their turn as well okay uh it is star caller's turn all right uh for this one one uh if I remember right all like the light green water is difficult terrain right that's double move yes all the water unless you have a swim speed is difficult terrain I'm a cat I don't like to swim I'm not going to do that today uh what I am going to do is move just like into the shallows with my movement um I'm just outside of Striking Distance um but then I am going to use my action to um smash this guy hopefully with a a eldric blast okay here's[Music] hoping um very good roll very bad damage roll um it all comes together in the end so that's 24 to hit that's a hit uh but it is six points of force damage okay um and and he will swing again for another eldri blast and I imagine when he's doing these he's like like like like he's swinging the axe to hit he's just like swinging and then these Blades of light are kind of like swirling out um and hitting this um fearsome draconic Beast love it love it uh H interesting so this is right on the line here now we get to find out 17 to hit that's a hit it's a huge creature I love a big boy and that's 11 points of um bonking damage Force damage is what it's called by normals um speaking of bonking I will try to do that again this time with my delightful um spiritual weapon um Dawn Edge two will also attack T Edge the second uh that a 26 to hit uh that's a hit yeah you can hear Don's Edge she's just like that's my sister you go girl and that's nine points of further Force damage right they just call her Don's other Edge Don's other yeah yeah uh let me just double check here make sure I'm reading this right imagine being so much of a younger sister that you're just named other sister right ah hello other sister the alternative is like Don's pommel y uh you see as two more blasts light into uh your two Elders blasts light into another head and then Don Edge sister cuts into it another head comes off morning side if you will uh we are we are decapitating this Beast very quickly excellent job everyone high fives uh is that the end of your turn uh that is yes yes it is okay uh theana then using her turn is going to fire her heavy crossbow at the Hydra uh ooh natural 19 that's definitely get a hit so she is going to do she does nice uh 14 points of piercing damage to this Hydra and you can see like the rest of its heads are just kening and screaming about as two of these heads have come off now uh she does not have the quick reload ability so that is the end of that turn for her uh all right it is seel's turn okay I am going to yeah we're just going to we're going to do the big thing uh so I am going to draw a line that is 80 ft away from for me actually you know what wait I don't like this 80 uh which is a about call that 20 feet yeah let's go 75 15t behind the Hydra I'm doing math know what this means doing makes me nervous uh you should you've seen it recently uh I'm going to go ahead and cast a gravity sink hole in the air 15 ft behind that guy's ugly [ __ ] heads uh okay strength save uh con save con save I have all the confidence here yeah uh does a 24 succeed uh it does and you only take nine points of that horrid[ __ ] roll of damage a bomber dude that's great I don't think he's actually disappointed guys I think he's he's yeah I'm fine we're being goofed on I'll I'll cry about it later um so much goof goof yeah okay and then as a bonus action I'm going to launch two of the meteors how dare you how dare you you'll get over it no I won't I never will I know you won't um okay so this is this is a spell attack correct oh no these are two deck saves on the hydrous part love that love that for me please roll well dice o does a 19 succeed on the first one it does okay second takes a point of fire damage okay let me mock that and yes I love this uh 19 again I said 19 on the last one right I can't even remember there's so many rolls now yeah so another three points of fire damage okay you um give me a investigation check there bud investigation mhm Oak doy CH 25 okay uh you see as you like blast into it with all of this fire that the missing the stumps of the missing heads you could see it starting to like bubble and fizzle and start to grow but as you hit it with the fire the heads the remaining heads start to shriek and you see that bubbling kind of stop oh um very nice right is that the end of your turn that is the end of my turn Okay uh it's the hydra's turn who is going to adjust a little bit here uh I'm just moving Vlad a little bit to the side so I can move this token who's staying in everybody's rain and moves uh what was that I think that was yeah 10 ft to the East and with its three heads it is going to take two attacks on Artemis and one attack on Sila so here's the first attack on star collar uh natural 17 on the die that is a uh 25 to hit that does hit okay that is seven points of piercing damage oh second head another natural 17 for 25 we know that hits you now uh nice that is 15 points of piercing damage you know I I fail to see what is nice about that uh third attack going Sila here's the die that not 20 just a little bit ago nope wow wow why do the dice refuse to let me hit you uh that's a you're having such a hard time with it I I am I just want this Hydra to be great and it's not uh all right that is let's see here I do still have some movement here yeah uh you then all see it very quickly Retreat pulling back into the waters 5 10 15 ft so it's now in the deep water you guys can see all the surf in the wake and its large Shadow down below Artemis and Sila and the Earth Elemental get the opportunity attacks if you guys want to take them absolutely I do oh I rolled really bad well tell us conclude the thought please uh 12 to hit friscilla and it's a Miss uh 13 to hit for the elemental oh two misses two whiffs all right star caller what you got there bud s 17 17 hits yep uh NE and uh 13 points of radiant damage now that we're we're getting close nice good damage does the fire Elemental get a uh it's a it's a spiritual weapon so no oh it's a spiritual weapon my bad got it yeah I have yet to create a nice axe token for him which I will do before next session all right the Hydra is in the water now disappearing but it seems to be kind of making like this large Circle back um that that is the end of its turn it's now vlads who's 85 ft up in the air okay so he's he does he disappear just take off no no he uh he gets abandonment issues he doesn't give them um okay so he does not get his breath back but he is going to fly back to 6 feet uh no I kind of want him I want him to stay as an eye in the sky kind of like reporting on where the shadow is for those who can't okay see it so yeah he's going to he's going to stay put great our weather man in the clouds yes uh all right Sila you're on top of your Earth Elemental it's your turn what we doing okay Cy the Hy ra uh disappearing I'm going to bonus action recall my Trident okay uh and then I'm going to dive into the water one single drop disappears into the water boom and then she's going to just Barrel straight toward it Trident shield and uh make her first attack okay 10 to hit that's a Miss wow Sam this is this is bad this is bad this one's an 18 to hit that's that's a hit that's much better okay embarrassing oh God she's like I'm so glad I'm in water um let's do I'm just going to uh plus the Raging that's uh 10 piercing nice all right yeah you uh you see its retreating form you manage to get in there in the back of its hide you stab down in getting a good hit uh all right uh if that's the end of your turn then we have the Earth Elemental up next it is the end of my turn now it says the Earth Elemental has this ability to burrow through Earth mhm and it it's I don't can Earth Elementals breathe underwater I don't think they need air correct I don't think they breathe oxygen so I think it's fine it just doesn't have a swim speed so if you're burrowing and popping up I'll give it to you yeah okay so I think they're going to drop in like they're going to just like mold into the ground and they're going to pop up um next to Sila under the water and make their slam attacks okay so 16 to hit that is a hit okay okay okay uh 2D + 5 ooh Max damage that is 21 budgeting oh o o and they get their second hit or second swing 24 to hit that's a hit God four 17 leging okay yeah this this Hydra is looking really bad okay uh that's the end of their turn as well okay uh we are then back up at the top of the order with star collar W so can I still see the Hydra even if it's like in the water do I still have like visual you have visual on its shadow you don't have like pinpoint the waters are not that clear and like as everybody's moving it's starting to get murkier and murkier so it's harder to see would I be able to cast like a saving spell style spell at it um does it have an area of effect or is it a singular Target is a creature you see within range kind of thing uh roll me another D100 20 26 and above you uh you can cast it on it cool that is uh 20 I will sit in my corner and I will do nothing you you have like there are 80 better numbers than that you had such a you had such a high chance for Success twice yeah you know this is this is how it feels to be a nippo baby like I'm really set up for success and yet still I fail you have all of the tools yeah sorry sorry to all the neppo babies out there they can get bit all right well it's V's turn who is going to then reload unless you're going to do anything else Andrew I don't want to take out take away your movement you that's a fine point I I'm going to stay where I am but I will move my um I'll move my spiritual weapon um and since it's hovering uh it can move its full 20 ft I believe and it's just going to it's not going under the water that seems like a bad idea it's just going to stay right on the surface okay yeah it's it it like me does not want to go through the uh the philosophical quandry of what happens to a spiritual weapon once emerged in water all right well it's V's turn who's going to then run up to the edge here and reload her crossbow and await the Hydra sael it is your turn okay I too am going to run up to the surface here or the fasinating I don't have a line of sight I have people in front of me don't I mhm man I hope that Hydra can't cast Fireball we're screwed little wouldn't this be a fun way to find out that it can for each head it gets a single casting of Fireball it's amazing guys it's like quick throw fire at it no[Music] you um okay I glacial pace is amazing can I see okay so this so this is an interesting way this is an interesting quantry so I have my meteors they don't require an attack roll it's a it's a deck Save On The Creatures part but do you need to see it I mean in theory but about so that's what I'm sort of wondering would would the percentage chance that we've been playing would sort of apply for this kind of thing um not in the sense that you have to roll I'm going to give myself advantage on these checks for you to cast it in there because W it is a huge creature I'm going to say it's you stand a relatively decent chance but uh sure all right and saves yes and this is definitely what you want to do I'm just going to double check before I mean I can't do I can't do much else okay so Final Answer Final Answer uh that is a 20 on the first one okay and are we treating this so are we treating this like half damage or no damage at all in this scenario iio uh on it success I'm going to say no because it's fire right it's going through the the water yeah I'm going to say no on this one uh second one is an 18 I'm rolling really that beats it okay all right so they they go down but they fizzle out just as they're like just reaching the Hydra you know what uh that was bonus action [ __ ] now now he decides he wants to do something else well look at me I'm a wizard at all my [ __ ] spells yeah all right light MC Queen over here I do I do one thing per [ __ ] round you[ __ ] no okay dance for me Serpent we we establ it so when you said I don't have line of sight cuz I just I did just throw two meteors at it yes but that was that was it had a deck save but I would I would need to have a a straight line to it for that to have a chance right I was just trying to make you feel good by giving you something I'm [ __ ] out of me now no I was going to I was going to do a scorching Ray but I remembered you you said I don't have a straight line to it so I'm I'm just leaving these other people here in front of you I'm leaving this be it's done milk that DM all right it is the hydra's turn thank goodness I need to do some damage here uh all right Sila it's got three attacks first one coming at you uh nice yes it was a natural 18 for 26 to hit that hit all right oh yeah that is 14 points of piercing damage second one natural 2 I keep having to like jail so many of my d20s uh and that is a 17 to hit does that hit no okay all right so those three attacks[Music] happen you then see those two Nubs that were previously like bubbling and then burnt begin to Bubble again as from the two stubs from each one Sprout two heads so four more heads all of a sudden rip up and appear out of these former necks yep now giving it seven heads uh boy oh boy oh boy guys boy oh boy this Hydra now has a longer initiative than the rest of the party uh yeah don't worry we got it there's only three heads left under there once it comes out of the water we got this it is then going to take two opportunity attacks as it then continues to retreat back in the waters 30 feet 5 10 15 20 25 30 what oh that's sorry that's way deeper I'm looking at the back side of it sorry no it's still it's was correct I was simply 30 ft's 30t upset that's[ __ ] not excited breath back um just I hate the dragon of my own design why do you give me such terrible toys uh he is going to God he hold on he can't a whole lot here um yeah he's going to keep what is this he's going to keep directly above actually yeah can he so here's a thing if he is flying directly above it can he use his action to give the help action for people who try to attack it uh um the health action people rarely do that one as well but I believe it gives Advantage yeah cuz I'm well I'm thinking like we can't see cuz we're looking at sort of a flat plane of the water which makes sense like the Sha the shadow gets dispersed like it it's hard to tell so you get Advantage if it's an ability check made to perform a task before the start of your next turn or if someone's within 5T it's Advantage on an attack okay so he'd have to be within 5T of it yeah for an attack yeah otherwise he can need an ability thing but I don't know what that would be okay never mind I was trying to make your dragon baby useful um but no he's just going to be worried about that it's the party's child now it's not mine I will kill it just as much as any other thing I have I have created this creature yeah take out there is no love left uh all right that is vlad's turn then circling like a crow looking for carrying Sila you're up H this this Hydra seems to be taunting you further and further into the waters yeah and like s's like I want to but also it seems kind of dumb so when has that ever stopped us before that's such a sus move man uh I also don't want to lose my rage a i me you did hit it on the reaction so I I don't know if that counts don't you got a bunch of them[ __ ] you didn't burn one in the last combat well I mean comat I'll rage all I damn want okay um I would like to uh swim back back over to the Shoreline okay uh and I would like to ready in action to throw my tridon at the Hydra in the event they come within range all right cool how about that Earth Elemental yeah they're going to do the same thing they're going to come up uh Burrow under the ground and come up next to Sila on her on her right and they're also going to ready a slam attack in the event that the Hydra comes within range and both turns end all right uh we are back up with star collar you can see Vlad circling where presumably the Hydra would be I will say now because it's so far away you definitely can't see its shadow uh Sila what's what's happening the Hydra has swam further into the deep depths of this swamp Okay but it only has three heads left so we got it on the Run maybe it has more than three they seem to have bubbled and oozed and became more nothing about that makes sense to me yeah they do that there are s what do you mean they do that you're going it just that's a thing that's normal for giant snake lizards none of the the giant snake l lizard is not normal well no F fire seems to quell the Regeneration but I wasn't able to hit it with fire this time uh I'm going to Lev with you here SEL I don't have anything that does fire unless you're a zombie so I will blast it zombie zombie I'm going to you it's still on land that I'm sure is Hell going to be land um I'm going to stand like next to I guess I'm going to stand on the other side of the earth Elemental I I PL of movement to like slide over there um and I'm going to ready an eldri's Blast for whenever our for something to to come to the shore um and he is going to prepare a he's going to prepare a third level scorching Ray mhm for if it surfaces now if you prepare a spell does that mean that spell is consumed even if you don't cast it like you don't see the thing I'm just no I I am essentially casting it regardless of if it is triggered or not I do expend the spell slot okay all right cuz I like I the water would you uh I don't know if I know that you didn't fly lower correct so you're still 85 ft up in the air as well no well that yeah I oh yeah cuz even if even if I went my full movement down it wouldn't hit him unless he was 5T under the surface so not quite 5T under he's okay vlad's going to fly 60 feet down okay so that he's 25 ft above the surface of the water mhm he's GNA hold he's going to hold his breath weapon okay so if if the thing surfaces he will fire at it his plasma breath all right Sila it's your turn this the Hydra did not appear again okay um you're going to be a hero please uh Sila is going to I think she's going to B she's going to put her Trident and her Shield uh she drop those bad boys drop them and I'm going to pull caliburn okay I'm going to use my bonus action to coales the blade with all that icy icy good good juice icy stuff so the blade is ice mhm[Music] um can I use some of my movement to just like uh I'm going to move 10 ft in poke my head under can I see the Hydra you can you can see it's down there in the waters um and it's got a couple heads that are looking towards the surface and a couple heads that are looking now right at you and uh make me a perception check yeah sure 14 seems like some of its wounds have healed a little bit uh yeah she will stand briefly it would seem that it is healing Under The Depths I'm willing to swim in after but I recognize that it is my strength and not one that is shared by all I don't want to get wet Vlad I think agrees we we should draw it to the surface it will it will pick us apart down there one by one if it has to that is its element uh all right it's the Earth Elementals turn there Sila yeah[Music] um I'm going to send the uh you can send that big guy in yeah if he moves 510 he can move 15 feet he's going to burrow 15t he's got a 10t reach uh so he's going to he's going to make slam attack a dirty 20 that is a[Music] hit that is 12 points of budgeting nice uh and then he will do his uh Club arm again for 12 to hit that is a Miss okay all right star caller you're up bud uh I'm going to cast a second level armor of aathy on myself okay and that is the entirety of what I'm going to do all right uh vasana let's see what she's got here um she does not have a swim speed she is going to throw down a second level healing spirit so everybody uh within 5T of the healing Spirit which she is going to put I'm going to put down a I'm going to put down a cobal token and she puts it 10 ft behind her so anybody who gets within 5T of it gets a D6 worth of hit points back Co take it take it to anybody who might need it uh all right that is her turn sael you're up bud okay um I am going I'm going to do a thing that I meant to do early on but see may be useful now um going to cast enlarge on Sila nice I like that and he he will call to her and say grab it by one of the necks and Pull It To The Ground she like gets bigger with pleasure just spray from the water as she grow out grows it that current depth um nice is that your turn uh yeah okay uh all right go ahead and did you take your D6 worth of healing for getting in range of the spirit oh I did not go ahead and do that for yourself a whole one a whole one uh yep okay all right it is the hydra's turn and the Hydra is going to Let's actually see here yep okay you uh actually Sila now your head's kind of like above the water at that area so all of a sudden we see the surface like a couple bubbles come up and then all of a sudden this like like an explosion underwater this Big Bowl starts to impress out ws and then it splits open as all of its head come up towards vad which would trigger his uh breath weapon go for it okay uh so as it is attacking me go ahead and have it make a deck save okay these have been good historically but that's not that's an eight uh okay so that fails so it's going to take the full brunt of 5 d8 woo SP big number good okay 19 points of radiant damage that's it that's it yeah that no good boy that no good well uh we'll just keep going down the heads until uh dead pretty much uh you laid the bait there that's a that's a 19 to hit on the first one uh-huh I wonder how the fans are going to eat you up for doing this that is uh 13 points of piercing damage on the first one why do you think they're going to be mad at me that is not how this Dynamic works like why did you let him Circle above he was just he was just baited yeah why don't why don't I take this NPC who gets mad at me for not using him and just shove him in the bag of holding and never have him do piercing damage he's in the water all right soad Falls and you can see like one of the heads grabs him and just like hurls him backwards uh and splashes into the water and like on the edge over there it is then going to swim back down into the water and is going to attack the Earth Elemental twice uh that is a 21 to hit yeah that hits nice uh wow Jesus I keep this must be the average uh 13 points of piercing damage okay second one natural two uh all right that is the hydra's turn it is now Vlad vlad's going to have some death saving throws here uh-huh I'm going to give it to him so go ahead and roll me a D20 okay 23 okay so one success yeah uh all right Sila you're up you enlarged fish woman so Sila sees the Hydra bursts out of the water takes seven bites at Vlad who then plummets to the ground do they do they fail a death save from the falling damage there was no fall damage that was that was that was a flavor fall I'm not going to I'm not going toor fall flavor um before you do anything mhm you I need you to make another perception check and I'm going to give you advantage on this um I got a 12 okay it's still enough you feel this vibration go through the water and it's not like the Hydra has been creating these large disturbances it's a huge creature but you feel something else okay make impact somewhere like like large vibrations extremely large vibrations is this thing not the [ __ ] River King seems like maybe not I swear to God William I swear to me William Elizabeth Johnston I know where you live come on drive up I think okay s's this um large gal in the water and she feels these vibrations she's going to kind of like look down at Star caller and the group and and she's going to say uh there's something more more than the seven-headed freak Show what in the hell do mean more V is like ratcheting the last bit of her her drawring and she's just like excuse me I will get Vlad um and does my speed increase with this uh enlarge um that is a fantastic question I don't I think that's only haste that does that yeah no this is your size doubles no no you have you have advantage on strength checks and saving throws which you already have have um your weapon grows so you do yeah technically you only do an extra D4 of damage that is the only mechanical thing and any ability that you would try against the Hydra might have a better chance now that you're a larger size Sila's going to move full 30 ft into the deep part of the water kind of circling the Hydra and then I want to Misty step to Vlad because I am not raging okay uh and I think she's going to I'd like to position myself between Vlad and them okay[Music] um and I can't do anything else impactful for Vlad right now although with my action I could give them a potion right yep okay I'm going to say this as you were swimming through the water as you came up to that kind of like Northern deep section of the water you can feel more of like those disturbances those vibrations and you can hear what sounds like wriggling in the water like that kind of like a cutting of ribbon like if you could hear uh the turns of a propeller but it sounds like there's thousands and you look to the Northeast where you feel like this is coming from and you just see this black wriggling curtain of something beginning to swim towards you it looks like it's probably about 120 ft away but it seems like it is making major moves towards you okay yeah then uh she will like point in that direction watch out uh and I will use my action to give a greater healing potion to Vlad so I think he gets our hero we're rolling that cuz it's an action he gets no it's if oh we keep I'm I'm going to say I'm going to say that actually for this oh you're a you're a saint so 20 cuz it's greater excellent see I could take that down and like two hits with this Hydra so like am I really being that nice remind you how awful I am as a human being in a DM constantly well you remind me of that every day I'm so warms a [ __ ] my cold heart are you guys done yeah sorry just fing with you please please Sam no I was going to start stripping that's for the coffee page get over this um okay only to use the Hydra to tear vlat part that's fine and the fans can be mad at Brendan because of his I'll take that one all right Silla turn is over the elemental is going to start dra attempting to drag the Hydra so I'd like to make a grapple oh okay let's see uh that is a 19 for me okay they have and their strength is a plus five so they are of similar strengths then can you do it can you do it can you do it 21 16 plus 5 yeah all right all right so you just he just grapples onto this creature I love the thought of this too this Earth Elemental just wrangling this giant creature uh can it can it technically grab creatures of a size category larger yes okay great just make it short um it's like once you get over that you can't yeah well I think so that's how that's how it is in the shove and all that yeah you can do one size up yeah so he's going to um he gets a what big meaty arm around one of the heads and he's going to start dragging it toward the shoreline at a half speed so only 15 ft okay but all right moving it 15 ft very nice all right right and that's it Sila you see um I imagine you've kind of like dipped down a little bit into the water after ministering to Vlad you see that black curtain move about 40 ft closer make another perception check R There's Something In The Water uh that one is a 13 okay so I'm getting better you realize this black mass spans almost the entire breadth of this Riverway essentially this deeper Riverway and as it's getting closer you realize that this is a giant wall of leeches that are swimming towards you and you can begin to see something gargantuan behind it I need you to roll me a sanity check oh no okay now like the The Cloud of leeches wasn't bad enough they have a daddy yeah yep okay my gosh it has been a while my sanity score my sanity I have a 12 so I have a plus one to this okay eight oh no wait wait what can I ins can I use my inspiration yes go ahead I feel like I have to this is like you have to redeem inspiration you have to roll higher I need my I need my manness aable die to a therapist like whatever you need to do to get demons out and let's go uh so Sam Sam Sam I got a three the [ __ ] oh God you know the dice give and they taketh you know they say consistency is good in life I don't even want you could be less consistent I'd be okay with that I don't even want inspiration anymore man you have all encountered and she just immediately turns Rising a little bit out of the water and we see Vlad just coming back to their senses and their draconic head looks back and we just see this
